I want to take a moment and ask you a question. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to change your destiny? But what if I told you that you could change something right now that could permanently shape your future?
00:00:23.850 --> 00:00:31.440

00:01:04.019 --> 00:01:17.879
Hi, friends, we're happy to have you join us today, we want to share something with you that can be a huge game changer.
00:01:13.799 --> 00:01:40.319
concepts like this had been referred to in the past by we've heard Tony Robbins call it profound knowledge. That's something that is just completely simple to grasp, right? simple to do. And that's what we're all about Jarrod are all about making things as simple as possible to get the life that you desire. So it's easy to do. But it's a game changer.
00:01:41.069 --> 00:01:51.510
And the reason it's a game changer is because it changes your perspective. It can be this small thing that you didn't realize what's possible.
00:01:47.760 --> 00:01:58.109
But once you know, your life can head in a completely different direction. It's really a mindset shift, right? It's a mindset shift. It's almost like doing a 180.
00:01:58.620 --> 00:02:09.060
So what exactly is the transformational thing we're talking about today? is the fact that your genes don't have to determine your destiny. Have you ever thought about that before?
00:02:09.599 --> 00:02:30.090
I mean, even working in the medical field, Jarrod, I've had patients come up to us and often say, at different times, even different patients. Look, I understand I have diabetes, or understand I have this disease, but my mother had it. And my grandmother had it and her grand mother or her mother before her had it. And so it's just in my genes.
00:02:30.569 --> 00:02:38.069
You hear it for high cholesterol, you hear it for arthritis, I mean a number of a number of different conditions.
00:02:38.099 --> 00:03:22.139
And it just it always seems to go back to that. Now back in the 1800s is whenever they they had a number of different discoveries have they noticed that these traits were passed on. And they realized there was some key element. And then finally, in the mid 1950s, they found DNA. Now this was great at being just a fantastic scientific breakthrough. But then what happened after that is there is this natural transition into Well, the genes define this code in this code gets expressed, and that's what I get. And I get that's what I get, like code for blue eyes. If you have those genes, then you have blue eyes. So then if I have arthritis, well, then it must be because I have genes for that condition. But isn't
00:03:22.139 --> 00:03:28.169
it interesting that there are other things that you share with your family, besides your genes, you share habits,
00:03:28.289 --> 00:03:39.870
yes, you share the same household growing up. So you share the same habits and that I think 99% of the time gets overlooked. Most people don't ever look at that,
00:03:40.110 --> 00:03:56.490
well, you eat the same food, you grew up eating the same foods, you cook the same, you have the same habits in the kitchen, you have the same habits and movement. Maybe you grew up camping, or boating or biking with your family. And those are the kinds of habits that you do and so you grow up and you're more likely to do those things.
00:03:56.759 --> 00:04:05.729
And this is where though that that profound knowledge comes in, because now we're sharing with you that your genes don't have to define your destiny.
00:04:05.819 --> 00:04:26.819
Well. And scientifically, we know that now, they didn't know that back in the day. And so we we've come to think as a society, that that's just the way it is for me because that's just what I was born with. But science shows that that is no longer the case. There's an area of science called epigenetics, that showing that there's a way to turn these genes on and off.
00:04:26.850 --> 00:04:33.899
And that can help to determine your destiny, and many times outweigh your genetic code.
00:04:30.629 --> 00:04:34.769
That's amazing. I have a question for you.
00:04:35.819 --> 00:04:37.740
How do you turn those genes on and off
00:04:38.040 --> 00:04:58.949
so many different ways and the great thing is there isn't just one way but one thing we focus on that we think is just the powerhouse is your foods because the standard diet in our world today and I'll call it the sad diet. The standard American diet is eating junk foods, processed foods, 10s of animal products and dairy milk.
00:04:54.870 --> 00:05:22.560
What are some of the other things you can think of and then If it's not in America, other countries are patterning it because the Americans eat it. So you know, it must be the right thing to eat. And the sad thing is, is and no pun intended is that we've exported this to so many other countries like Japan, that they were very healthy, and they didn't have a lot of these chronic diseases. And they all plant foods and more whole foods in general.
00:05:23.040 --> 00:05:37.620
Yes, and then our corporations, McDonald's, and whatever else started taking fast food. So they started eating a lot more meat, and then a lot more processed foods. And then they started seeing a lot of the same conditions, right crop up,
00:05:37.680 --> 00:06:10.860
right. And so there are a lot of things that can turn these genes on and off. One of the main things we focus on, again, is food. But inside our membership, power plant society, we also train our clients and teach them and several other areas that we'll talk about today, not just foods, we do believe that the food is just one of the core things that you really need to get right. And it is simple to do. It's if you know how to do it. But some of the other things are your environment. Stress, how's your stress level? How do you deal with that? Do you know some simple ways to deal with stress?
00:06:10.860 --> 00:06:24.089
Do you know some things in your life that might be causing stress like disorganization? How do you get rid of the piles of junk in your drunk room and get your chores straight so you can find your things and you don't stress out three times a day looking for your phone. And
00:06:24.089 --> 00:06:39.660
the funny thing is, is you may be going through all this stress, but you don't even realize it because it's just such a normal part of your day, that you've got the weight of the world on your shoulders. But to you that's normal. Right. But it still has the same health detriments to you.
00:06:39.810 --> 00:06:42.540
Mm hmm. What about sleep?
00:06:39.810 --> 00:06:51.660
I mean, that can completely throw things off, they found that that's one of the things that affects your genes. Are you getting enough sleep? Has your quality of sleep? How do you improve your sleep,
00:06:51.990 --> 00:06:59.699
sleep can actually affect up to 700 different genes. Some of them, it turns off, some of them that turns on.
00:06:59.970 --> 00:07:06.180
But just that one thing alone can alter how 700 different genes are expressed.
00:07:06.360 --> 00:07:12.930
Some other things that science has found that affect our genes and their expression, are the medications you take.
00:07:12.959 --> 00:07:15.420
That's another thing you put in your body besides food, right?
00:07:15.420 --> 00:07:28.079
And it greatly affects our body in many, many ways. What about things you put on your body, things you put on your skin, like makeup, lotions, cleaning products, even those things could affect how your genes are expressed?
00:07:28.110 --> 00:07:30.569
Because those chemicals do soak into your skin?
00:07:30.750 --> 00:07:38.100
Yeah, what about microbiome? That's a huge Yeah, it's one been linked to so many different diseases and things.
00:07:38.279 --> 00:08:16.259
That's the bacteria in your gut, you have good bacteria, you have ones that work for you, if you give them the proper thing, a lot of times through your food, sometimes the medications and different things affect that as well. You have good and harmful bacteria. And so you don't want the bad ones to flourish, and you want to find out how to make the good ones thrive. Then there's your relationships. How are those? What are some ways you can improve them easy ways that you can draw closer with other people and have more time for relationships? What about your relationship with your Creator connecting with him living out your purpose, these are huge things that can affect your genes.
00:08:16.829 --> 00:08:23.639
And then there's movement. Now we're not talking about the dreaded e word.
00:08:18.870 --> 00:08:37.470
Everybody hates exercise. Going into a gym, we're talking about movement. Now exercise can be in that category of movement. But it doesn't have to be this predefined. I've got to run 20 miles a day or I've got to go and benchpress 500 pounds.
00:08:37.500 --> 00:09:17.970
When you think about going inside the gym. I mean, a lot of times I would dread it because I just like to be outside. I like the fresh air like the Sunshine, sunshine. I don't like being inside all the walls, and we're inside walls constantly in our houses at our business. Why not when you can and when weather allows find something that you enjoy outside of those walls, where instead of looking at a screen that shows you beautiful scenery, get outside and enjoy the real thing. I mean, we were created to be in nature, enjoy it, you would be so surprised because not only is it just going to be that exercise is going to change here, you're going to be moving more and that affects your genes. Now your lower stress.
00:09:18.120 --> 00:09:27.840
Maybe now you're building your relationships because you're meeting up with a friend or your mom or somebody else that you can build a relationship with.
00:09:24.929 --> 00:09:29.340
Now you're dealing with multiple things that affect your genes.
00:09:29.399 --> 00:09:41.070
And we want you to get creative here because obviously walking is easy. You can just go out outside your door and hit the sidewalk and go but there's cycling. It could be dancing, it could be surfing, meet up with
00:09:41.070 --> 00:09:44.220
somebody for a game of tennis or some other game that you love.
00:09:45.029 --> 00:10:08.250
basketball and our neighborhood they actually have cricket courts. I have not yet gotten some cricket some. Oh, what are they called cricket paddles. No paddles, but, but I mean get creative. Get on the internet. Look up New ideas find friends find coworkers. They're even people that will go for a walk during their lunch breaks if you have difficulty finding time.
00:10:08.279 --> 00:10:12.509
Yeah, in our neighborhood we have the the rucksack great rucksack, yes,
00:10:12.659 --> 00:10:24.600
what that is, is it's a sack that's just like a backpack, but they put weights in there. So all they're doing and it's it's like 50 100 of them. I see them sometimes out at night with these headlights on and
00:10:24.720 --> 00:10:30.779
and they just walk through the neighborhood you just look at what are they do and then they're just walking with rucksacks talking and making new friends, well, they'll
00:10:30.779 --> 00:10:33.269
put 50 pounds in that.
00:10:30.779 --> 00:10:40.799
And it's just the act of that extra weight, it puts more more stress on them. So they're getting a good cardio workout.
00:10:36.750 --> 00:10:40.799
But they're doing it together.
00:10:40.799 --> 00:10:49.679
They're outside in the fresh air. And I'm just there are a lot of really neat creative ways out there. So we want you to think outside the box, or maybe I should say outside the four walls.
00:10:51.509 --> 00:11:02.940
But the great news here is just because you have the potential for developing a disease process because it was passed through your family line.
00:10:58.710 --> 00:11:34.830
That does not mean it has to happen to you. We want you to know there are things you can have control over. The great news here is you can have the power back. This can lead to big changes in your life, as you look at each of these different areas that they found through science that can change things for you. And that's why we're so passionate about all these different areas. We're glad you can join us today. We're excited for you to have these new mindset shifts, and we look forward to seeing you again next time on smarter healthy living.
00:11:35.940 --> 00:11:39.990
Hey, before you go, leave us a review. We'd love to know what you think.
