I'm so glad to have you here today. We're both excited to have you here. Because this is something we are completely passionate about. If you'd heard us say it once you've heard us say it a million times,
00:01:09.058 --> 00:01:10.618
you'll hear it a million more.
00:01:10.900 --> 00:01:21.040
You will because simple, enjoyable, delicious, is what it's all about. For us. This is what we're passionate about. If you want to adopt a lifestyle that's going to work for you.
00:01:21.310 --> 00:01:36.969
What's the difference between this and any other diet you've ever been on? Right? Well, have you ever been on a diet? That's easy? That is enjoyable? And that tastes good? I mean, really, what is? What's the difference?
00:01:36.989 --> 00:01:39.539
We're the anti diet, actually we are.
00:01:39.599 --> 00:02:16.949
And that is the difference. We are the anti diet, because we're all about making things easy. This is the first thing simple number one, why does simple matter because you're busy, you're purpose driven woman, I get it, I understand. I mean, I go from the time I get up in the morning, till the time I go to bed bed. Now let me tell you, I have not always been able to do that. In my mind, I was going from the time I got up till the time I went to bed but I was exhausted. I have a feeling that a lot of you know what this feels like you wake up in the morning, you're completely drained from the time you get up, you have to drag yourself away
00:02:16.949 --> 00:02:20.909
for that first cup of coffee to really energize yourself. That's
00:02:20.909 --> 00:02:32.099
it. And you're and then you're just dragging yourself from thing to thing that you have to get done that day. And just dreaming of the time when you can fall into bed at night to do it all over again.
00:02:32.129 --> 00:02:40.379
And that may be running on adrenaline too. It's one of those things like oh, my goodness, I'm late for this. And you get those adrenaline surges.
00:02:37.289 --> 00:02:42.750
And so you go from that one half to to the next half to get it done.
00:02:42.808 --> 00:02:53.938
But it's constant fatigue and exhaustion. He knows something's wrong. You don't know what it is, you know, you shouldn't feel this way. But maybe just think, Oh, I'm just getting older. And this is what happens as you get older. And I
00:02:53.939 --> 00:03:02.580
think some people even just get in survival mode. Like you said, they know something's wrong, but they don't know exactly what it is. They don't know what the answer is. And I'm just trying to survive,
00:03:02.610 --> 00:03:12.960
and you're exhausted. And so and your doctors told you, you need to lose a couple of pounds maybe? Or maybe not. But if it is the case, then you're just thinking, well, I just need to find another diet, or I've got to go on that diet. Again.
00:03:12.960 --> 00:03:31.439
That worked for me last year. It worked great. But now I've gained all the weight back and probably plus them because that's what usually happens with diets. But you weren't happy on the diet. Where are you? I mean, did you love the diet? Was it enjoyable? Did the food tastes great? Was it easy? And you've got
00:03:31.770 --> 00:03:42.240
a big thing simple because a lot of these you have to count all these points, you have to count these macros, you have to do go for white man's food product item and that food product item and
00:03:42.270 --> 00:03:44.939
grams points, like you said, and if
00:03:44.939 --> 00:03:47.819
something is not simple, you're just not going to do it.
00:03:47.819 --> 00:03:58.500
Now initially, if you're desperate, you'll put in that extra energy you'll do it. But eventually if it's not something that is simple. You're just gonna fall out of that.
00:03:58.530 --> 00:04:07.349
Yeah. So human nature when the beginning there's just that excitement that comes along with doing anything or desperation or desperation.
00:04:03.419 --> 00:04:29.939
Well, that's a good point. I get it. Yeah, that's right. So you start off and you start off with a bang for at least a week or two, maybe maybe a couple of days, depending on what it is and how miserable it is. But really, if we can just show you how to do something that's easy if you just had somebody to show you that. And that's what we're all about. You've got to know how to make the cooking simple.
00:04:30.120 --> 00:04:38.339
And not only make it simple, but it's got to be well one has to be easy. Why? Because you're busy. You don't have you don't have to something
00:04:38.339 --> 00:04:55.529
too hard, then in your mind, you're thinking I can't do that. So I'm not even going to try Yeah, it's like the woman I don't fall back into that. I don't know that what like snack bar in your Snickers or whatever in your purse or whatever the food item is you're just gonna fall right back into the normal habits.
00:04:55.560 --> 00:05:07.949
Well do you remember it's and people get this idea in their mind about whole food plant based that it's not Easy and so they'd never try it. It's so hard. It's one of the easiest things that we've ever done, especially having somebody to show you what to do and
00:05:07.949 --> 00:05:11.220
walk you through ridiculously easy, it is almost like we're cheating.
00:05:12.509 --> 00:05:19.288
It really should have been harder than that. And a lot of times, don't you feel like the obstacle is the fact that you just don't know?
00:05:19.348 --> 00:05:42.119
Oh, 100% definitely. So you don't know what you don't know. And that you don't know what the next step is. And that then becomes the obstacle, but it's almost a mirage, or was a hologram. That's what I'm going for. It's just like this hologram in front of you. But once you remove that, or bust through it, it becomes very simple. And then you know what to do?
00:05:42.360 --> 00:05:48.389
Exactly. So if you just have somebody to show you those steps to take step one, do this.
00:05:44.790 --> 00:05:51.089
Step two, do this. And then along the way, you can ask your questions and get them answered.
00:05:51.269 --> 00:06:02.879
That's what it's all about. I mean, if you have somebody to show you that who's done it and figured it out, I wish we'd had that, because that would have saved us years of figuring stuff out. And we can help years.
00:06:00.000 --> 00:06:29.370
Yeah. And so we help our clients turn those years into days. And that's what we're passionate about. We love it. So you've got to make it simple. Number two, enjoy enjoyable, you've got to enjoy what you're doing. What diet Have you ever done, that you've actually thrived so much that you love it? Or that it's so easy, that it's enjoyable, or that it tastes so good, that it's enjoyable, that goes into delicious, that we're about to talk about, but they kind of go together?
00:06:29.579 --> 00:06:30.598
Or they all go together?
00:06:30.629 --> 00:07:11.189
Yeah, I mean, you've got to enjoy what you're doing. And also the results that you're gonna get the way you're gonna start feeling when that fatigue starts to fall away. I'll never forget when that happened for me. I mean, you came in the door, and I'm sitting there cooking. And you just you sat down your keys and looked at me and said, Are you okay? Like what's going on, because I was actually standing there cooking a meal, instead of dragging a stool over to the stove. I mean, I was constantly exhausted, I couldn't do anything the kids were taking on more and more responsibility at home, it got to the point where I couldn't even go up one flight of stairs to tuck them into bed at night, it was ridiculous. And now I have to force myself to go to bed at night. That's enjoyable.
00:07:11.459 --> 00:07:14.730
I mean, that is where I can enjoy every ounce of my life.
00:07:14.879 --> 00:07:34.410
And I have so much energy now I have to force myself to go to bed, and I'm not hyped up on energy drinks, and I'm not eating protein bars. And I'm not counting macros and counting all this stuff. And we've lost 55 pounds together. That's enjoyable. But we didn't ever die it we never counted anything we didn't weigh in. It's like this friend and I still don't.
00:07:35.040 --> 00:07:49.949
Yeah, and she was saying, you know, I didn't even realize I've lost all this. All this these pounds. And she went shopping with a friend. We shared the story several times. And I'd love to have her on here to tell it because I know she can tell it better than we ever could.
00:07:45.509 --> 00:07:54.329
But um, anyway, yeah, just the fact that those things happen.
00:07:49.949 --> 00:07:56.970
And you're not even miserable doing it. It's crazy.
00:07:58.500 --> 00:07:59.009
Yeah.
00:08:00.389 --> 00:08:07.588
Think about that for a minute. I do all these things. I lose weight. Now I'm healthier.
00:08:03.298 --> 00:08:49.619
Now I no longer have the whoosh sound in my carotid artery that shows me that my vessels are clogging up. You know, and I've got all this energy and I don't have Well, I'm just gonna be honest, honest, the body odor I used to have to have to use deodorant anymore. That's bizarre. I mean, there's all these different things that come with this right? We don't cheered got more energy. He has his aches and pains stop. I had terrible joint pain and my elbows and my shoulders. That's enjoyable to see those things go away. We've had people coming off their insulin. We've had people dealing out have neck pain, severe neck pain, nine out of 10 go away. All those kinds of things happening for people.
00:08:50.099 --> 00:08:51.719
That's enjoyable, right?
00:08:51.750 --> 00:09:00.090
It is and it makes life more enjoyable because you're able to go and do more. Do you all do the things that you enjoy that you feel like you've just been sitting on the sideline?
00:09:00.090 --> 00:09:01.590
Watching your life pass you by?
00:09:01.620 --> 00:09:05.100
Yeah, that was it's so many tears were shed over that.
00:09:05.159 --> 00:09:09.779
I totally get that. And number three, it has to be delicious.
00:09:09.809 --> 00:09:10.590
Yes.
00:09:10.710 --> 00:09:12.960
I love great tasting food. You know that about me?
00:09:13.710 --> 00:09:40.620
Well, if it's not delicious, it totally ruins the experience. So just to kind of contrast that historically, I've come from more of a survivalist instinct, if you will. As long as it's not disgusting. I will eat it. Now. I will say in the last 30 years I've been very spoiled because Anita, if she cooks it, it's delicious. Oh, if it's if it's not delicious, she scraps it. She kind of revises the recipe until she can get it good.
00:09:40.830 --> 00:09:42.509
Yeah. And then it gets into the cookbook.
00:09:42.750 --> 00:09:49.620
Yeah, then it goes. And she has even taken a couple recipes out of the cookbook because she's retried them and say, You know what, this doesn't meet my standards. So
00:09:49.919 --> 00:09:52.620
yeah, I'm very particular about my recipe, her recipes.
00:09:52.620 --> 00:09:52.710
They
00:09:52.710 --> 00:10:04.980
are tested and perfected. But I know that I was good with her. It's not just that it's about Eating. It's also about enjoying the food and the experience of eating that.
00:10:05.159 --> 00:10:12.570
So if it's not delicious, it just ruins that experience for her. And I think you come by it honestly, because of your mom and dad. Yeah, my
00:10:12.570 --> 00:10:49.950
dad was a chef on in the Merchant Marines. He sailed the Great Lakes and he cooked for all the servicemen and they loved my dad. And then my parents when I was growing up, I grew up in a restaurant that that they owned and they cooked everything that kicked off from scratch. They didn't even hire anyone. I mean, it was a busy restaurant, and they worked a lot. But I, I was raised around, it's got, you know, I want it to taste good. It's got to taste good. We're serving people. And I feel the same way coming up with the recipes that I do. In our cookbook, and inside the membership. I want everything to be exceptional. We bet Jarrod nom both believe in excellence.
00:10:49.950 --> 00:11:08.669
We've said this between ourselves for years and years and years. I mean, for as long as I remember, remember just excellence do things with excellence. So when I present something to someone, including my own family at the table, I just wanted to taste really good. But we've already talked about I don't have time to spend hours and hours in the kitchen.
00:11:08.850 --> 00:11:16.500
So it's got to be simple on top of that, and that makes me happy when I get this. It's like the trifecta of wonderful.
00:11:17.458 --> 00:11:20.969
The trifecta of wonderfulness of wonderfulness
00:11:22.019 --> 00:11:28.529
that works simple, enjoyable, and delicious. And that's what we want for you.
00:11:25.169 --> 00:12:18.240
Because this is how you create a life you love. This is how you create a life that last, and that will work. And that makes you healthy. Because with healthy plant based, you're going to be healthy. The research shows that over time, things continue to improve again and again. You just got to know how to make your fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, love games, tastes great. It can all fall off of you. We want food freedom for you. And that is why we're so passionate about the trifecta of wonderfulness.
