00:00:49.558 --> 00:00:55.018
Welcome to smarter, healthy living. If this is your first time joining us today, we are excited to have you with us.
00:00:55.439 --> 00:01:16.198
Since this is your first time, I just want to give you a little trigger warning here. Anita is a little bit triggered in today's episode, because this is something that we hear and we see so much. And I have even had recent conversations with people where this has come up. It's just no it doesn't have to be this way
00:01:16.200 --> 00:01:16.920
lately not
00:01:16.980 --> 00:01:24.150
and we are talking about high blood pressure today. It is so prevalent. And it just does not have to be I mean
00:01:24.150 --> 00:01:34.890
OnStar. If you're listening to this, you have it a spouse has it a friend has it a parent has it or all of the above. That's how common it is.
00:01:30.719 --> 00:01:50.849
And it's so common we come to believe a lie that it's a disease of old age. But the truth is research has shown for years and years, I mean, even back into the 1920s that this is a lifestyle related disease, it can be stopped, there is something you can do about it.
00:01:50.879 --> 00:02:19.739
Well, and in addition to old age, people just think it's genetics, right? My dad had it, I have it, it's just genes. But did your genes change? Because most people when they're infants, they're young children don't have high blood pressure, right? But your jeans were the same then as they are when you're in your 30s 40s 50s. So something had there's something different there something had to change, it wasn't your genetics, right? What is it?
00:02:19.889 --> 00:02:52.439
And also, the other thing is, you know, you didn't have it in your 20s or your 30s. And now you're vaping in your 40s and 50s. And just one day, you go to the doctor, and it's been good for a long time, and then you go, and all of a sudden you just have it. But is it all of a sudden? No, it's actually something that's been going on underneath the surface for quite some time. And your body's just reached a point where it can't compensate for what's been happening to it. It's giving you a sign it's crying out saying look, you need to do something I'm sick, I'm not doing
00:02:52.439 --> 00:02:57.150
well help me it is like the oil light on your car dashboard.
00:02:57.179 --> 00:02:59.788
Oh, another car, another car analogy.
00:03:00.028 --> 00:03:27.299
But like with that the oil gets older, it gets a little sludgy, the oil filter gets filled up, it can't really do its job anymore. Pressure starts changing, and then a little light comes on. Yeah, and you are none the wiser. All this stuff was going on. But the little light didn't come on, until it reached the point where it was triggered. And then same thing with the blood pressure.
00:03:22.588 --> 00:03:33.899
Yeah. And you don't know it, your doctor may measure your blood pressure and see, okay, you're within range, it's okay.
00:03:30.868 --> 00:03:55.079
And then all of a sudden, it's not, it's high. And you think up, but my numbers have been good. So I must be doing the right thing. But that's not always the case. I mean, many times people treat for the numbers, but not really treating the underlying cause. And there are a lot of people that die just from a heart attack or just drop dead. But they had good numbers. Right?
00:03:55.229 --> 00:03:59.189
Exactly. Am I let that happen to you? No, not at all.
00:03:59.430 --> 00:04:09.330
And this, these are the things we're passionate about. Because you're not hearing about this stuff. You might go to the doctor and hear you have high blood pressure. And you just think it happens to everybody.
00:04:06.120 --> 00:04:25.889
It's because we're older, or it's our genetics. And then the other thing is you don't understand what the significance of that is. This is a significant diagnosis. This isn't just some ho hum thing that you need to just take with a grain of salt and think well, I just have high blood pressure.
00:04:23.550 --> 00:04:35.100
I mean, we can control it with medicines. There's something going on here. And what happens when you have high blood pressure is the concern. And that's why doctors are all over.
00:04:32.220 --> 00:04:53.279
Let's take this medicine and that medicine and this medicine and do this and that. And really the go to is the medicines and we're going to talk about that in just a minute. But what we want you to understand is the disease process that's going on they are what is happening inside your body when you do have high blood pressure. And why is it dangerous and why is your doctor concerned?
00:04:54.149 --> 00:05:20.759
Well, part of what's going on is that there is damage to the blood vessels, the lining of the blood vessels There are arteries, or I'm sorry, their muscles in the arteries that actually stiffen. So the vessels themselves and they also get inflamed and become stiffer from that. And then what ends up happening is that there's more work for the heart to try to push the blood through those arteries. And so now it's having to push harder. So your
00:05:20.759 --> 00:05:23.279
vessels were a flexible tube,
00:05:23.550 --> 00:05:58.259
they were a tube that have muscles in them. So they they will stretch and then kind of contract and then stretch with each heartbeat. So that it I think, helps to maintain a more consistent blood flow, I think of something like bagpipes, you're constantly blowing air into that bag, and then it's releasing air through the pipes. And so you get that constant music will Same thing with your heart, it's pushing the blood, the arteries, under normal circumstances will expand. But then contract. And so it helps to keep a more even flow of the blood through your vessels.
00:05:58.319 --> 00:06:41.670
And so what's happening as your blood pressure creeps up, as your body's telling you, those walls of those vessels have gotten stiffer, they probably had some damage over time, they're things collecting and adhering to the side. So now not only are the arteries not giving and not elastic like they used to be, now we have a whole other problem going on, where as things have gotten damaged on the inside lining of your blood vessels, there now is a plaque buildup and so that that vessel is narrowed, so your heart has to work harder to get the blood to pump three, to get to all your vital organs that are just waiting for the nutrients that it delivers. And that need to get the trash out and get it out of your body through the blood.
00:06:41.759 --> 00:07:00.449
Now a great example I just thought about a little experiment you can do is try to drink water through a regular drinking straw goes through pretty easily. But if you've ever had one of those little straws, like you stir with coffee, and you try to drink through that, because it's so much narrower, you have to suck so much harder. Make sense?
00:07:00.480 --> 00:07:34.560
Well, the in reverse the hearts pushing, not sucking, but you realize how much pressure difference there is when it the vessels aren't open. And so the hearts having to work harder, and then there's more pressure into the vessels. And then you have damage where you can have blood vessels bursting. Or you can have them where they stretch and then burst because they've gotten so thin and weak that they just can't maintain that anymore. The heart becomes a disease where the muscles get thicker. And so there's less room inside the chambers for the blood to to go through
00:07:34.589 --> 00:07:52.680
and guess where it needs to go. Right? And so then you think about how does that affect? And what does that change in my body? How does that affect my body? Well, obviously, the blood needs to get to every area of your body, your heart is pumping it through every vessel.
00:07:49.589 --> 00:09:05.820
So when this is happening, we think of our heart, we think well, that's narrowing vessels in my heart. Even if you're thinking that far, you're thinking about Heart, heart attacks vessels. But you've got to think that blood and those arteries and those vessels are traveling everywhere. So it's going to affect your brain. So what that means it's if your arteries are clogging, they're clogging everywhere in your body, they're stiffening and throughout your body. So they've linked this to back pain and disc degeneration, because your vessels going to that area have gotten clogged, and now your disc are not getting the food and the nutrients that they need. And they're being starved of that. So now you've got people developing dementia earlier and earlier. They're linking it with that and steadies. We're seeing that the blood, right, and so then you have the potential of developing strokes and things like a huge one, actually, absolutely. And then we've talked about heart failure with your heart having a pump and worked so hard to get it through the narrowed straw of your vessels to get the blood through. Now you're having heart issues, possibly people get enlarged heart, they can have all kinds of different things going on with their heart leading to heart failure, and heart attacks, things like that.
00:09:02.190 --> 00:09:07.139
What things can you think of kidneys as well, they
00:09:07.139 --> 00:09:19.440
look at blood vessels, but in blood has to go everywhere. So this affects everything. But there are certain organs that have a higher concentration of blood vessels and kidneys is one of them. And they're already small.
00:09:19.769 --> 00:09:37.500
And then when you have increased blood pressure and there's damage, then those little vessels can get scarred over and then you get enough of your kidney that scarred, then bloods not flowing through that it's not creating the urine, and your kidneys actually participate in controlling your blood pressure.
00:09:37.889 --> 00:09:48.240
I mean, it's actually an active part in managing your blood pressure. So if those aren't working, then that messes up blood pressure control and then just creates even more of a downward spiral.
00:09:48.658 --> 00:09:51.899
And we often don't think about our eyes. You know, we've got all these
00:09:51.899 --> 00:09:53.698
designs till it's too late, unfortunately.
00:09:53.730 --> 00:10:02.309
Yeah, and these things are going on like we've got people getting read retinopathy and just optic nerve problems and damaging and blindness,
00:10:02.548 --> 00:10:06.869
getting everything on the vessels in your eyes to on the retina where where we see.
00:10:06.960 --> 00:10:19.919
And so you've got to think this causes more things than you can imagine, there are problems that men develop over time, this is a warning sign that you've got damage going on in your vessels and that your vessels are clogging,
00:10:19.950 --> 00:10:28.019
right. And women have that kind of trouble, they are 40 times more likely not 40% 40 times more likely to die of a heart attack,
00:10:28.259 --> 00:10:52.769
that you need to really take these things seriously, this is your body's saying to you. I'm getting things I don't need. And I'm definitely not getting what I mean, you have the power to do something about this, we want you to know, there's hope we're not telling you this stuff to scare you. So do you think oh, all is lost? I mean, this is not the normal way our bodies were created to be.
00:10:47.759 --> 00:11:29.308
We know this, because when we look at cultures, rural cultures like rural China, and some different places in Africa, Kenya, right, so we look at this and studies and we study the cultures in these different areas that eat whole plant foods as the majority of what they eat, maybe they eat, some of them do eat a little bit of meat, maybe like three times a year, it's special occasions, very small amounts. And they don't have these issues. That what's happening in them as they look at the adults, and people are getting older and older and they follow them for their blood pressure Did you know their blood pressure actually goes down, that
00:11:29.339 --> 00:11:30.298
is normal,
00:11:30.360 --> 00:11:43.289
that's normal, it doesn't just stay the same and not go up. It actually goes down as you age, that is what's supposed to be happening. And we're not being told this, you know, but you need to know these things.
00:11:40.379 --> 00:11:48.389
This is what you need. We want to empower you so that you know what you can do and that there is something you can do besides
00:11:48.659 --> 00:11:52.769
to blow your mind. In my medical training. We weren't taught that
00:11:52.799 --> 00:11:55.559
not in nursing, either.
00:11:52.799 --> 00:11:56.070
In my nursing training, we're taught as
00:11:56.070 --> 00:12:04.289
you get older, it goes up. But in those studies, Anita was just telling you that the people actually would go down to around 105 over 65.
00:12:05.730 --> 00:12:06.450
That's normal.
00:12:06.750 --> 00:12:08.970
Yes, that's normal.
00:12:06.750 --> 00:12:08.970
Yeah. And
00:12:08.970 --> 00:12:47.340
you know, we're told 120 over 80 is normal, but what they're finding is probably more like one to over 70 is the ideal. So that's really what you need to be shooting towards, towards or cheating for. Because when you go below that, that's where they don't really find any health benefits. So that's the number you want to aim for is 110 over 70. But these are all the different things that can happen as a result. And we're not again, we're not telling you this to scare you. What we want you to know is there's something you can do about it. But we want you to know this is a serious thing. It's not just Well, I got high blood pressure. I'm getting older. That's not a rite of passage. No, exactly, almost is viewed that way. Like, Hey,
00:12:47.370 --> 00:12:50.309
I'm now older and wiser.
00:12:47.370 --> 00:12:50.309
I've got high blood pressure.
00:12:50.309 --> 00:12:50.789
No, it's
00:12:50.789 --> 00:12:52.799
not. No, it's actually
00:12:52.798 --> 00:12:54.328
robbing you of your wisdom.
00:12:54.360 --> 00:13:08.009
Yeah. And we're also not saying we're going to talk about medication. But we're not saying that medication is evil. I mean, if you get a blood pressure that spikes super high, and you're in the hospital, and they need to get it down, you better be taking some medication to get it you know, for you end up with a stress, you
00:13:08.009 --> 00:13:47.818
don't want to munch on a little sprig of broccoli, because that's not going to in that moment, take care of it. So we're not against it. But you had talked a little bit about medication before but the typical response when your provider says, Hey, your blood pressure's up. The good ones will mention lifestyle modifications. But I'll tell you, I've been in medicine almost 20 years, and I did primary care in the very beginning. So we're talking 1618 years ago, there really was not an expectation, though, that that would work, mainly because there was the expectation that people just wouldn't follow it.
00:13:44.578 --> 00:13:58.379
I'm not saying that's right or wrong. I'm not saying that's your doctor, pa or nurse practitioner. But in the world I was in at the time, it was a sure yes, change dietary habits.
00:13:53.249 --> 00:13:59.818
But when that fails, then here are the medications to use.
00:13:59.879 --> 00:14:07.229
Right. And they have a list of medications that they use them first, it's usually a diuretic. It's a lot of people call this a water pill, right?
00:14:07.259 --> 00:14:09.269
hydrochloric acid is the most common.
00:14:09.330 --> 00:14:25.799
But what's interesting is they found that people that do start on those only 39% will even stick with this first line of medication. So the likelihood that you're even going to stick with it is low, or that anybody would stick with it as low who wants to do that there are all these different side effects that make you feel horrible. And
00:14:25.798 --> 00:15:06.298
I'll tell you some of the reasons for that is that in the beginning, when you have that type of medication, usually your blood pressure is not sky high. Because when your blood pressure gets high enough, it's going to cause blurry vision headache, you're going to have symptoms, right? But when you get into that initial quote unquote hypertensive area, they're going to start you on medications like this. It's going to be difficult many times to remember to take something when you don't feel the disease process and I think that's part of it. And then the other part is the symptoms that come with it. The side effects exactly come with medical And you think, Well, you know, if it's gonna be like this, this is as bad as my disease process, I don't really want to do that,
00:15:06.658 --> 00:15:52.139
right. And then just going back to lifestyle, even before medication, the doctors that are really great and that say, you know, let's work on it and just try lifestyle a little bit. And so they'll say to you things like, what you need to do is look at lowering your weight, lowering your salt intake, and let's get you on a diet and go ahead and just try to lose some weight. And then, again, decrease your salt intake, and maybe drink less alcohol and get some even more just go start exercising, you know, that's gonna help, but you don't really get any real direction. I mean, you have somebody say, do this, do that, do this, do that, well, how do I do that, and you walk out and you're going well, okay, I need to lose weight. So I've got to find a diet. So then you're frantically searching for for diet, you get on a diet, you hate what's going to happen. I mean, diets are miserable, Jarrod not talk about this time.
00:15:52.139 --> 00:15:58.708
And again, nobody wants to be on a diet, they don't work, they don't work, because they don't address the underlying problem.
00:15:58.948 --> 00:16:29.188
They try to starve you of nutrients, and so that you start dropping pounds, that the the desire that you have is to be in a vehicle that's going to get you to feeling better, that's going to start reversing some of these things. You know, that's what whole plant foods can do for you. diets are not going to do that for you. We teach people lifestyle modifications that are going to work that are simple, enjoyable, and delicious. We're all about those things. If they're not, you're never gonna want to do it for life. It's too miserable.
00:16:29.220 --> 00:16:48.690
You're talking about a vehicle. diets are like a Well, yes, carnality diets are like a vehicle stuck in reverse. I mean, really, is they do the opposite. Because again, they're not addressing the root disease process, which is the lack of the nutrients that come from the whole plant foods.
00:16:48.778 --> 00:16:51.359
It's just let's drop some pounds, let's do that vehicle
00:16:51.359 --> 00:16:54.989
and it's stuck in reverse. It's not ever going to go where you want it to go.
00:16:55.080 --> 00:17:07.019
Well, it's just miserable. I mean, nobody wants to count calories, the rest of their life. Nobody wants to portion control, they want to eat what they want. They want to eat things that tastes good, and that make them feel satisfied.
00:17:07.049 --> 00:17:15.720
And you can't do that dieting, it just does not work. So then you're looking at different diets, and that's never gonna get you where you want to go.
00:17:15.779 --> 00:17:21.000
Oh, and with exercise. I got to go to a gym, I got to go into the sweaty four walls.
00:17:22.409 --> 00:17:28.679
Most I don't know any people that like it. I know some but not many. You know, there are other ways to get moving.
00:17:28.858 --> 00:17:37.739
But the answer is never going to be just exercise. Do you need to move more? Absolutely. It's great for strengthening your bones. It's great to get your heart pumping mental health.
00:17:37.949 --> 00:17:45.088
Absolutely. Yeah, I mean, it can do away with a lot of depression and stress and things like that.
00:17:41.969 --> 00:18:14.729
But there are ways to do that outside of the gym outside of the concrete walls, that will really work well. And we talked about that on another episode, you can go back and check that out. But we're talking about now that next line, so they tell you to diet, you don't know what to do. So either you don't do something or you try a diet that can actually make it worse. I mean, there are popular diets today that people are doing and they're dropping weight, but that you're getting a lot of animal products, you're getting animal cholesterol, what well, plants have no cholesterol.
00:18:14.818 --> 00:19:46.558
Cholesterol is known to cause arterial hardening, thickening of the of the vessels, and that's what's causing the most problems. So there you go. So we want to find some way of eating less and less animal products, less meat, less dairy, less, better, less sour cream. Now if you'd said this to me, 10 years ago, I probably would have gone home crying. I mean, and I just want you to know I was at the Dairy Queen. If I do this, if I can do this. In the body can do this. I'm a mother of four. I'm busy all the time. I still eat foods I love I've been it doesn't have a hold on me anymore. I just I still get my cheesy things that my creamy things and you know, you think all of a sudden that you can't have the foods you love. So you think I love pizza, I love tacos, I love burgers, I love all these things. And I want to eat those things. And life's not worth living. If I can't have them, you can still have those things, you've just got to find somebody who can show you the right way to do it so that you can have them in a different way still have the flavors that you love. And that's the way you can do it for life. But we're looking at so now the medications 1234 or five up to five medications some people are on and with that come all the side effects and we've talked about this then you're not feeling good. You're exhausted all the time. And the whole part of this is you want to live a vibrant life one that makes you feel amazing. how's it gonna happen at 12345 Medicaid, some of those medications
00:19:46.619 --> 00:19:52.619
are known to cause fatigue like beta blockers. They are known to cause fatigue.
00:19:49.500 --> 00:20:01.349
They're also for men known to cause certain issues that are already prevalent with vascular issues. No, but men don't want that right. First of all ever live and you
00:20:01.349 --> 00:20:31.799
already, you're already frustrated over all these things that are going on, you don't need to be more depressed and stressed. And I mean, just take out the list and read the list of problems. You know, we're not telling you to absolutely don't ever do medications, but people go on whole food plant based and many, many times come off their medications with the doctor's supervision, I mean, that just it happens, find a doctor who's going to support you in this and get in a group of people who can show you how to eat this way and how to live this way. It is amazing.
00:20:31.859 --> 00:20:50.519
And I would even say even if they're, they're not terribly supportive, let them know. Because if you're on 345 medications, as things improve, and they can improve quickly, sometimes in a week or two, with healthy plant based pressure comes down, but you're still doing the medication on top of that, that can actually make you go too low
00:20:50.549 --> 00:20:52.829
your blood pressure, right, it can make your blood pressure drop,
00:20:52.829 --> 00:20:55.380
so they need to know that way they monitor it,
00:20:55.559 --> 00:21:18.599
right. So absolutely be monitored by your doctor. So we've said obviously whole plant foods can make a difference, we got to dive into that more, because you've got to know this is the thing that can make all the difference. It's what started changing our lives. I mean, I had vascular disease, I would lay on my side side at night, you know, on my pillow.
00:21:18.930 --> 00:21:22.769
And in my left carotid artery that's in my neck, I would hear.
00:21:25.289 --> 00:21:37.619
And it would get louder and louder, the longer I would lay on that side. And you know, it got to a point my face would go numb on that side laying on it was because I have vascular problems on that side going on.
00:21:33.839 --> 00:22:19.529
My arteries were stiffening I was having buildup inside the arteries, just like we've talked about. Guess what happened when I started eating plant based when I stopped eating animal foods, and completely we did we stopped eating them. And quickly things started to reverse for me, I don't have any problems sleeping on either side. Now. I don't hear that anymore. It's gone. And so the amazing thing about that is is it's not just us this has been in scientific research for years, animal foods are highly associated with a rise in blood pressure. And guess what happens to vegans when they study vegans, the studies show that as soon as they start adding in animal products, okay? vegans don't eat animal products, they don't eat meat, they don't eat dairy. I'm not sure where
00:22:19.529 --> 00:22:21.990
they found vegans that would agree to that. But they
00:22:21.990 --> 00:22:59.519
did me either. But they did it because when you go vegan, or when you go whole food plant based in you start getting this kind of change. And all of a sudden, you're waking up and you have energy and you have to force yourself to go to bed where you are sluggish all day, because you were eating heavy animal foods that made you feel awful and caused all these changes in your body. And you get your life back like we have, like I'm just telling you, there's no going back. You can't put a price tag on that. Not only am I no longer sitting in doctor's office, just trying to figure out what in the world is going on and feeling helpless and hopeless, feeling sad and just frustrated and worried. I mean, I was scared, I was dying.
00:22:59.519 --> 00:23:08.759
There were so many crazy things going on in my body. If you want to hear more about that, go back to episode one where I tell my story. Jared had stuff going on.
00:23:05.009 --> 00:23:25.230
He didn't even realize To what extent and then all of a sudden, he's gone. I'm not hurting anymore. I'm feeling great. And we're eating food we love and it's amazing. But when vegans added in meat into their diet, just even in small amounts just started adding it in, they started developing high blood pressure.
00:23:25.349 --> 00:23:31.650
Same thing was also with dairy. They also did studies and when they found they started adding dairy products that their blood pressure started rising.
00:23:30.240 --> 00:23:31.650
It was
00:23:31.650 --> 00:23:41.970
meat, dairy and eggs. It was all animal products. That's what what has been found in research consistently time and again. But it's not just about what you need to stop eating.
00:23:41.970 --> 00:24:23.730
You know, we always think about deprivation, I can't have this, I can't have that. You've got to start figuring out what you can have in place of it that will replace those flavors and those things for you. Like I have a friend I was talking to you the other day that has blood pressure issues. And I said you know, you need to think about possibly because he was interested in different things he could do. One thing you can do is take when you like when you eat sausage, this is just an example. You can think about the flavors, how do I replace those flavors? And that's what we show how people people how to do inside our membership. It's you've got to think about what the flavors aren't. You're not going to drop a chicken breast into water and boil it plain and put it on your plate and eat it.
00:24:24.000 --> 00:24:25.170
It's the flavor,
00:24:25.529 --> 00:24:28.019
the sauces you eat and you're not going to enjoy it.
00:24:29.009 --> 00:25:23.130
And I don't know anybody who does that. Okay, well here is the exception to the rule. I grew up in the south. A lot of you know, I grew up in northwest Georgia and this little blink and you miss it town, right. I mean, we had probably one traffic light, maybe two. I'm sure that's pushing it. We didn't have a fast food restaurant when I was growing up. Now that was probably a great thing for me, I'll just say but it's that just kind of defines how the town was there was nothing there. And we live five miles west of that. Okay, so our nearest neighbor was probably a half mile away. I grew up Upon good Southern Cooking, my parents owned a southern food restaurant. They were great cooks but they just didn't know a lot of the principles and things that we teach today. I know my mom would have just been all over it if she had. But growing up, I do know some people that would drop chicken breast into water. And if you're from the south, you know what I'm talking about.
00:25:21.059 --> 00:25:56.009
Okay, you boil the chicken breast, you take it out and you start shredding the main into a bowl, and you end up putting tons of stuff in it. So you didn't marinate it. You didn't put a sauce. But what do you do you stir in the mayo? So I guess there's your sauce, right? you stir and all the way up, then you got to add your eggs or your units will salary skin light was probably the one reading chicken salad, right? The one redeeming thing that you're still covering it and putting so much gobbledygook in it is that a word? gobbledygook is a word.
00:25:51.930 --> 00:26:02.099
Okay? It totally. It was a word in our household when we made chicken salad, plop, and meringue goes all the oils and the
00:26:02.670 --> 00:26:04.319
Well, there's a lot of egg and the mayo,
00:26:05.339 --> 00:26:22.440
egg and mayo and so you got your egg, you got your chicken, and this is an onslaught for your vascular issues. I'm just saying. But we didn't know. But all that to say that you're getting your boiled chicken and you think, well, it's just the chicken I love.
00:26:19.589 --> 00:26:50.549
No, it's not. It's all the others mash, you have to put on their flavor. Chicken, or at least add some flavor to it right? And so you've got to figure out how do I get those flavors, I still eat the same foods I love, just have them in a different way. So I get those flavors and the things that because what you love about the food, truth be told is all that flavor you're putting on that day, all that flavor you're putting on the chicken, and I'll tell you, we still eat in this household on a regular basis.
00:26:50.670 --> 00:26:59.460
Chicken salad, but it doesn't have chicken in it. I mean, it's just, it's our substitute. It's a chicken lettuce salad. It tastes enjoyed every bit as much.
00:26:59.549 --> 00:27:12.329
And we have soups where we used to put Italian sausage in them. But because of the flavors because she was able to replicate those flavors. We enjoy every bit as much and we don't have that sluggish, heavy feeling after eating it.
00:27:12.390 --> 00:27:18.750
Yeah, this is what you've got to learn how to do and you got to understand these things.
00:27:14.700 --> 00:27:27.720
